How to Restore Ubuntu Panel

13/06/2009

Restore the default panel. Works with Ubuntu 9.04 – the Jaunty Jackalope – x86-64.

Press Alt+F2, type gnome-terminal and hit Enter.

In the terminal type:

$ sudo debconf gnome-panel
$ gconftool-2 --shutdown
$ rm -rf .gconf/apps/panel
$ pkill gnome-panel

That’s it!
